  • Massive disappoint and frustration. When I was finishing this handspun I noticed that the purple colour was bleeding A LOT in the cold water washes. Bleeding yarn is bad as any wool you knit with it will get bled into the next time you wash it. So I attempted to fix the issue. Hot vinegar…

  • I managed to ply, wash, & thwack 10 skeins of yarn over just a few days! 🫣 I am thankful for our Australian summer heat which dried these skeins right out overnight.

  • I recently bought some beautiful handcarders and I spent a few relaxing hours teaching myself how to card. It’s surprisingly easy & I carded up some spare fibre; white cormo, yak, & grey polwarth.

  • I’ve been wanting to try out a spindolyn since I first saw them. It’s a very interesting little tool but not something that I would use regularly because of my preferred spinning style. It is however wonderful to spin up neppy wools and when you want a ridiculous amount of loft in your yarn!
