Massive disappoint and frustration. When I was finishing this handspun I noticed that the purple colour was bleeding A LOT in the cold water washes. Bleeding yarn is bad as any wool you knit with it will get bled into the next time you wash it. So I attempted to fix the issue. Hot vinegar…

I did something crazy & bought an advent calendar this year … a wool/fibre advent calendar! I’m going to try do a post every day of December this year as I open up each packet of this World Of Wool advent calendar box. This is gonna be fun!

I recently bought some beautiful handcarders and I spent a few relaxing hours teaching myself how to card. It’s surprisingly easy & I carded up some spare fibre; white cormo, yak, & grey polwarth.

I’ve been wanting to try out a spindolyn since I first saw them. It’s a very interesting little tool but not something that I would use regularly because of my preferred spinning style. It is however wonderful to spin up neppy wools and when you want a ridiculous amount of loft in your yarn!

Spinning some merino on my new Mingo&Asho glasspin. I taught myself to spin supported earlier this year. I found fleegle style spinning to be the most comfortable on my support spindles as its a kind of unsupported style which accommodates short or long draw. Do you like watching my spinning videos?
