  • *cackles* I managed to get 400g of ‘ice cream’ merino & milk fibre singles on my bobbin. I’m planning to measure off 3 equal lengths of singles to 3 ply with a sparkly silver thread.

  • Eeeeeeeeeee! Look what arrived yesterday! The largest fibre order I have EVER made and the currency conversion was horrific, but these colour ways are just. so. gorgeous! I have no regrets. Fibres are handdyed by Fossil Fibres.

  • Completed crochet cowl made from cormo & merino. I ended up adding additional edging details because the cast on and bind off didn’t visually match. I might do this again with different handspuns. Base pattern is by CrochetTheHighway.

  • Finished handspun shawl. This ended up being washed/blocked multiple times because unknown to me one of the black welsh skeins still had dirt in it, which distributed dirt throughout the shawl when initially washed. There’s still some light staining in parts of the marled yarn, but it’s much much better than before.

  • It’s getting there. I’m going to have to do at least 2 more repeats in addition to the pattern instructions so that the whole piece measures nicely square.

The green infinity scarf I just free-handed. 🐐 Rupert 🐰 Freyja 🐴 Idris Dolls…

  • Well, I decided to start this crochet cowl (Scorpio Cowl by Crochet the Highway) because I wanted a relaxed project (which is what crochet is to me) … that is not what happened. I honestly have never frogged a project more in my life! First, the cowl size as written is massively small, 22”, which…

  • Shawl is now finished and being blocked. Looking at it all finished I realised my yarn choices have accidentally recreated old tv static blips in shawl form 🤣

  • I finally measured all the skeins that I completed over the last few months during school term time. There is a lot of yardage here.

  • My new inkle loom arrived last week & I’m so in love! I spent the weekend warping and starting the weaving of a simple tablet band to teach myself this technique. The design is out of the ‘Tablets at Work’ book and isn’t twist neutral, hence I used swivels at the warp ends.
