Last pair of pants I’ll need for a while, mostly complete apart from the hems. In the middle of sewing these I realised that I was accidentally sewing up the Second Doctors pants (Patrick Troughton’s Doctor in Doctor Who actually wore yellow check pants, just no one knew until we got the animated/colourised episodes).

I noticed that the Royal Easter Show had a category for an item made completely from handspun. So I did something crazy & spent December/Jan crocheting up the shawl my ‘Sunburnt Country’ handspun was destined for to enter the category. Bit late, but everything got away from me. Plus it was really hard to pick things I’d made last year I was proud of. Last year felt really overwhelming & I didn’t feel like I made much which clearly wasn’t true at all. Anyway, these are my favourites from last year.

I fell into a pattern of simply filling up spindles over the last few months. So here’s the 100s of meters of thread that needs to be de-spindled, plyed, & finished.

Yes, this sculpt had been sitting on my dining table the entire 2023 unfinished. But no more! It literally only needed some beak/claw/toe touchups & the feather spots/edging. Still a few things to do after a quick seal, but she’s gonna be done!
