  • I’ve now installed the pads and readied everything for final assembly. I’m now sewing in palm pads unstuffed then stuffing through a horizontal cut near the bottom seam; this gives all the benefits of an easy install & reduced annoying lump from the stuffing seam. The finger pads I will continue to sew in stuffed…

  • Working on a new & spoopy blackwork pattern.

  • Some more progress on the commission paws. All the fur pieces have been assembled and the pads/claws are now prepped for installation.

  • A natural coloured bear in progress. Here’s a look at all 52 pieces, which took about 5 hours total to cut and prepare for sewing.

  • A lot of modifications later and I’m pretty happy with the form now. The eyes are just placeholders until I settle on a colourway design – until then, this is being set aside.

  • Commission work. Although this is a simple 3 colour paw design, it actually requires 60 separate pieces.

  • I used a modified cosplay ‘space’ style helmet instead and glued that into the head form. I then added foam clay to fill in seams and make a solid beak (it’ll be covered in worbla later) and a nose hump. Might still do some minor adjustments then sand it all smooth.

  • After some frustration locating worbla (had to buy from 2 different places), I now have all the pieces traced and the foam cut. As worbla allows form shaping I combined some pieces, and the foam is cut slightly smaller to allow for the worbla sandwich seams so the whole thing stays the required size.

  • I’m working on a personal windstone gryphon kitty to resemble my parrot. I’m trying to blend traditional antiquing with my preferred wash layering painting style. You can see the difference when I go back with water layering after doing a rough antique to pull out the texture.

  • The paws are pretty much ready for final assembly. Still a lot of hand sewing to do though.
