  • Mammoth cowl WIP. I’m about halfway through this project now and am vaguely surprised that the ‘back’ (white) is looking much better than the ‘front’ (grey)

  • WIP of the lighthouse cross stitch. I haven’t got much to do now & most of the last quadrant is half stitches which go pretty quickly.

  • Shawl is now finished and being blocked. Looking at it all finished I realised my yarn choices have accidentally recreated old tv static blips in shawl form 🤣

  • Started on the windstone barong pyo. I’ve planned this one around an apple theme & am planning to do some experiments with washi tapes for the saddle decoration.

  • I appear to be getting slightly faster as I get used to the pattern as these 2 new sections only took about 4.5 hours total. Only 1 more section to go!

  • My new inkle loom arrived last week & I’m so in love! I spent the weekend warping and starting the weaving of a simple tablet band to teach myself this technique. The design is out of the ‘Tablets at Work’ book and isn’t twist neutral, hence I used swivels at the warp ends.

  • I finally started up this peyote bracelet pattern I got ages ago. I used to do beading when I was much younger & I remember enjoying the repetition of it. This small bracelet section took about 3 hours to complete.

  • I was having too much fun and kept forgetting to take a wip photo. Anyway, this is basically half done now…?

  • Needed to do something repetitive & slightly mindless. I’ve been making up more bookmark & earrings designs – they’ll hit my etsy shop once I get nicer weather to photograph everything (it’s been pretty damn rainy lately).

  • Finished chain plying all the wheel bobbins. I have subsequently learnt that I can’t chain ply for long periods on the wheel at all because it pulls my shoulder muscles too much.
