  • Completed double tree frogs decoupage. Again a photo to show the effect from the way it’s meant to be viewed, and a video to show the full effect of the paper tole technique.

  • I’m on a roll, currently doing up the companion print for the tree frog. This one is slightly more annoying as there’s lots of tucking instead of straight overlay.

  • Completed tree frog paper tole. Time taken was 4 sittings of about 3-4 hours each.

  • Started up another paper tole decoupage. This one already has lots of foamcore supports under the large base layer pieces.

  • Completed lighthouse paper tole. There is lots of wiring and extra supports to achieve the shapes and layering without excessive silicone use. The lighthouse has plastic behind the lens windows & the railing is constructed from animal whisker fibres. I wasn’t sure how well a photo would illustrate the nature of a paper tole work,…

  • Inching closer to completion. The copious amounts of mid-ground foliage have been placed & some work started on the foreground fence.

  • Foliage, rowboat, & distant fence added in. I also extracted & prepped the mid-ground fence.

  • It’s been almost 2 decades since I’ve done paper tole, but I’m really pleased with how this is coming along. You can really see the difference between a flat print and the shaped piece layering.
