There is truely no such thing as a ‘simple’ tail pattern. I patterned up a basic 3 colour design using the maquette method (where you pattern small then enlarge to correct scale) & still ended up with 16 pieces. This means the whole tail will have 32 pieces total, not including pieces for the gore…
