  • Decided to make myself a bee themed crafting apron using a different pattern. This one won’t have a zippered pocket, but the pockets will be deeper and the finishing will be much cleaner I think.

  • Final major tasks for the pinafore was attaching the pockets, sewing everything together, and some top stitching around the collars to prevent rolling. I’ll finish it up later…

  • Constructing a summer pinafore. It’s delightfully simple, although having to ease 4 seperate collars was irritating.

  • Completed hungry caterpillar shirt (slightly crumpled after being worn). I’m very pleased with how it turned out and I feel I learnt so much about tailoring.

  • I’m beginning to get cocky now. Decided to experiment with the shirt pattern so it has an inside yoke. Looks like it’s working so far.

  • Finished the dino skelies shirt. I’m rather pleased with how nice this looks whilst still being tailored yet roomy. The buttons are small metal-stamped nautilus shells which seemed to go well with the general theme.

  • Buttons arrived so finished up the cactus shirt. Here is my partner being a cactus 🌵

  • Started work on my dinosaur bones shirt. The dark colours don’t do my stitching justice in photos! Attached the pocket, shoulders & front facing all with layered flat seams, and prepared the collar for attachment. Plus, I’m never using iron-on interfacing again!

  • It was extremely frustrating attaching the collar and sleeves, but youtube was my friend. Also, I feel that my flat seams need admiration because they are just perfect! Now I’m just waiting on buttons to arrive.
