Completed crochet cowl made from cormo & merino. I ended up adding additional edging details because the cast on and bind off didn’t visually match. I might do this again with different handspuns. Base pattern is by CrochetTheHighway.

I finally measured all the skeins that I completed over the last few months during school term time. There is a lot of yardage here.

Finished red dorset horn waste wool, that was used for packing & I combed. It’s ended up a really lovely tweedy yarn 🧶

My final #TDF2024 efforts. I achieved my first thread plyed fractal and a chunky weight yarn, alongside 4 other skeins and masham singles that are now resting. I didn’t progress much on the cotton but I did learnt a lot about how to spin it. Plus, I got blackout on the TDF bingo challenge card!

TDF progress update! I have finished the fractal yarn, all the bobbins have now been plied, the brown icelandic single is finished, & the cotton is progressing. I also prepped 200g grams of ‘berry burst’ roving into rolags because I impulsively decided I needed a lofty woolen spin for the planned chunky yarn.

BUT left one was plyed end of last year using my usual method matching the ply twist to the singles twist on my plying drop. Meanwhile the right one was plyed recently on the drop except…

Wow, this got large quickly! I’m up to the 2nd last segment & it’s looking so awesome that I’m considering this will be my handspun article entry for next years Royal (maybe).

Finally cleared off my craft desk of full spindles, and holy heck! I am doomed to some serious plying hell because I filled up a lot of spindles…and this isn’t even all the spindles I own now…

I recently made this adorable little doll scarf for someone in my ooak doll collectors community using some of my 2023 WOW christmas advent spins. This scarf used 5 different advent blends & has a total of 14 different fibre types! How cute is it! I am open to making more doll garments like this…
