  • Started work on my dinosaur bones shirt. The dark colours don’t do my stitching justice in photos! Attached the pocket, shoulders & front facing all with layered flat seams, and prepared the collar for attachment. Plus, I’m never using iron-on interfacing again!

  • It was extremely frustrating attaching the collar and sleeves, but youtube was my friend. Also, I feel that my flat seams need admiration because they are just perfect! Now I’m just waiting on buttons to arrive.

  • Made some donut fabric weights for my future SIL, then decided to make myself a large set too.

  • I wasn’t too sure whether this pattern would be suitable for the K’rahmyteh costume, so I made up a pair in fashionable stripes as a test. This is honestly a beautiful pattern and allows for french seams if you want. My only edit was to machine blanket stitch the raw edge where the waistband is…

  • Did up my partners’ owl cushion over a weekend afternoon. For some reason I thought it was a clever idea to sew the opposite sides first…um, no. Don’t ever do that when quilting, you just end up having to unpick the corners to make everything line up properly. Some other hot tips are: always pin…
