  • Finished set of 5 finger paws; steel blue fur, ivory fox fur, ivory minky claws, & black minky pads with a printed cotton lining. I’m really pleased with how these came out. Materials are all locally sourced, paw movement modelled by my partner. As these were an experiment I don’t really have a use for…

  • Labouriously sewing in the pads and clipping parts together whilst watching Adam Savage.

  • Making up a craft apron with lots of handy pockets for my mum from my scrap stash.

  • I want 5 finger paws for some future personal suits, so I decided to make my own generic ‘feral animal’ pattern and practice sewing it. These are the pieces of the prototype paw. I may consider selling this set once completed (only because I can’t keep literally everything I make 🤣)

  • Another thing I have been doing is making up another “incoming bebe” pack for a friend. I went a little overboard as I’m trying to use up scraps/offcuts and any random fabric that doesn’t have a specified purpose. Pack included 2 blankets (full minky, minky/cotton), 2 swaddles, 5 bibs

  • Made some considerable progress. Although, the colours are so similar in some areas I now am cross-eyed!

  • Stitching one last bee to go with the others.

  • Sydney made mask wearing mandatory in some public places last week. So this is what I have been doing since that time; making masks for our household, my family, and some friends. In total I have made 36 masks. I’m done now!

  • Some embroidery insects that I worked on sporadically the last few months. Forgot to take progress shots of the work up.

  • Completed puffy paws modeled by my partner. For my first pair of ‘proper’ paws I’m very pleased how they turned out, despite having some minor flaws. I learnt so much and now I’m going to make my own pattern for 5-finger paws and experiment with installing finger escapes.
