I’m beginning to get cocky now. Decided to experiment with the shirt pattern so it has an inside yoke. Looks like it’s working so far.

It’s almost christmas. Which means I’m about to make christmas stockings in 3 sizes from silly fabric!

Started work on my dinosaur bones shirt. The dark colours don’t do my stitching justice in photos! Attached the pocket, shoulders & front facing all with layered flat seams, and prepared the collar for attachment. Plus, I’m never using iron-on interfacing again!

It was extremely frustrating attaching the collar and sleeves, but youtube was my friend. Also, I feel that my flat seams need admiration because they are just perfect! Now I’m just waiting on buttons to arrive.

After much frustration where the wool completely rended, twice!, on one of the front panels when reversing, we finally have a waistcoat ready for top stitching. The wool tended to rend along seams, particularly where raw edges frayed endlessly. So after the original front panel, then the replacement panel rended, I just went to town…
