  • I’m beginning to get cocky now. Decided to experiment with the shirt pattern so it has an inside yoke. Looks like it’s working so far.

  • It’s almost christmas. Which means I’m about to make christmas stockings in 3 sizes from silly fabric!

  • Started work on my dinosaur bones shirt. The dark colours don’t do my stitching justice in photos! Attached the pocket, shoulders & front facing all with layered flat seams, and prepared the collar for attachment. Plus, I’m never using iron-on interfacing again!

  • It was extremely frustrating attaching the collar and sleeves, but youtube was my friend. Also, I feel that my flat seams need admiration because they are just perfect! Now I’m just waiting on buttons to arrive.

  • After much frustration where the wool completely rended, twice!, on one of the front panels when reversing, we finally have a waistcoat ready for top stitching. The wool tended to rend along seams, particularly where raw edges frayed endlessly. So after the original front panel, then the replacement panel rended, I just went to town…

  • I’ve been trying to keep COVID off this page, but its got to the point that people are telling me to cancel my wedding which is 7 months in the future because of it. I know that right now everything is a bit horrible and I really feel for those who have had to cancel…
