  • Last pair of pants I’ll need for a while, mostly complete apart from the hems. In the middle of sewing these I realised that I was accidentally sewing up the Second Doctors pants (Patrick Troughton’s Doctor in Doctor Who actually wore yellow check pants, just no one knew until we got the animated/colourised episodes).

  • I learnt that if I have lots of spare time I can sew up a single pair of pants in 2 days! 😲 Grey pair is garbedine (to replace a pair that was damaged) & red plaid is pure wool weave. I’m gonna be toasty this winter!

  • Finally sewing up my partners last ‘fun’ shirt. I’m hungry for donuts just looking at it.

  • Completed summer pinafore. The buttons are non-functional, but I did put in manual machine sewn button holes for the oversized buttons if needed at a later stage.

  • Final major tasks for the pinafore was attaching the pockets, sewing everything together, and some top stitching around the collars to prevent rolling. I’ll finish it up later…

  • PSA for all sewists. Collar first, then facing. If patterns say otherwise, they are telling you to do it the hard way!

  • I’m beginning to get cocky now. Decided to experiment with the shirt pattern so it has an inside yoke. Looks like it’s working so far.

  • Buttons arrived so finished up the cactus shirt. Here is my partner being a cactus 🌵

  • Started work on my dinosaur bones shirt. The dark colours don’t do my stitching justice in photos! Attached the pocket, shoulders & front facing all with layered flat seams, and prepared the collar for attachment. Plus, I’m never using iron-on interfacing again!

  • It was extremely frustrating attaching the collar and sleeves, but youtube was my friend. Also, I feel that my flat seams need admiration because they are just perfect! Now I’m just waiting on buttons to arrive.
