  • Painted up a windstones kitty gryph for my SIL to look like her own kitty. Eyes were handpainted as they weren’t the ones that came with the sculpt.

  • Completed these at the start of #SydneyLockdown but only just managed to get decent photos. These are Miss Monster casts, aren’t they adorbs!

  • Finished the rooster paint. This is a Windstones Editions figure.

  • Have got all the base/tone colours down and started on the feather barring on the wings. Next up is doing all the barring on the butt/leg/chest feathers.

  • Finally finished this damn painting! I really enjoyed it as it was very relaxing to do after work, I just didn’t enioy it taking up space on my kitchen table as long as it did.

  • Been working through a new paint-by-numbers the last few months and here is a series of progress shots. The annoying thing about this one is that the main blue in the sea didn’t come with enough paint for all of that section even when watered down (luckily I had some spare paints from another painting…

  • I’ve been updating K’rahmyteh’s reference sheet. Haven’t painted for so long that I thought I couldn’t until I remembered I needed a colour palette…

  • Finished up this paint by numbers. There’s something about this design that I really like, the colours all contrast yet blend together so nicely. Like last time I also sealed it to protect the paint from dust and fading.

  • Been working on another paint by numbers intermittently over the last few weeks. It’s interesting seeing the perspective and shapes develop as each section gets blocked in.

  • Some more progress on the paint by numbers. I’m finding it is really incredibly fiddly and times consuming to do, needing many breaks in-between sections for both drying time as well as preventing neck/hand cramps/eye strain. I’m glad I bought a few more on the sales last year, but I don’t think this is something…
