Finished mini quilt, in situ protecting the top of my record player. I’m not going to be winning any quilting competitions any time soon, but honestly I prefer the rough’n’ready style of quilting.

I’ve discovered a simpler way to join binding. Fold the outside end in at an angle, the underneath piece you cut straight and just tuck the edge that could be seen under. When the binding is all finished, it looks just like a proper bias join edge.
