First pieces for Miwak’s hood. Decided this time I would only cut pieces matching the section I’m sewing, so I don’t drown in pieces. So far I’m feeling that this project is manageable.

Miwak’s headbase is largely completed. No eyelids yet as still need to hook up the leds. I am also loving how well this fits me; it doesn’t slip at all & the jaw movement is partially kinetic with the slack taken up by the springs

Painted and sealed. I am so amazingly proud of these gums and paint tones. This is the first time I’ve sculpted gums with this level of detail that also had to avoid hiding teeth unnecessarily or hitting the upper jaw. Now to install all the hardware.

Completed all the base modifications for Miwak. Eyes were drilled with bases re-sculpted, eye vents enlarged, jowls heat formed, nose vents drilled, jawset installed with gums sculpted, and all hardware attachments drilled in. Time to do some painting!

Finished off all the machine sewing on the hood; zipper install and edge finish. I am never prepared for how many pins a simple task inevitably needs!

K’rahmyteh mask movement test. I was really happy that the hog bristles over the beak blended into the fur so well. Overall, I’m quite proud of how this is turning out!
