I appear to be getting slightly faster as I get used to the pattern as these 2 new sections only took about 4.5 hours total. Only 1 more section to go!

My new inkle loom arrived last week & I’m so in love! I spent the weekend warping and starting the weaving of a simple tablet band to teach myself this technique. The design is out of the ‘Tablets at Work’ book and isn’t twist neutral, hence I used swivels at the warp ends.

Finished red dorset horn waste wool, that was used for packing & I combed. It’s ended up a really lovely tweedy yarn 🧶

Stitched up this cute sashiko pouch kit. Vaguely annoying that the kit instructions didn’t actually tell you how to cut/assemble the pouch, but I figured it out. I’m going to use it to keep some fibre tools in.

I finally started up this peyote bracelet pattern I got ages ago. I used to do beading when I was much younger & I remember enjoying the repetition of it. This small bracelet section took about 3 hours to complete.

I was having too much fun and kept forgetting to take a wip photo. Anyway, this is basically half done now…?

My final #TDF2024 efforts. I achieved my first thread plyed fractal and a chunky weight yarn, alongside 4 other skeins and masham singles that are now resting. I didn’t progress much on the cotton but I did learnt a lot about how to spin it. Plus, I got blackout on the TDF bingo challenge card!

Needed to do something repetitive & slightly mindless. I’ve been making up more bookmark & earrings designs – they’ll hit my etsy shop once I get nicer weather to photograph everything (it’s been pretty damn rainy lately).
