I recently bought some beautiful handcarders and I spent a few relaxing hours teaching myself how to card. It’s surprisingly easy & I carded up some spare fibre; white cormo, yak, & grey polwarth.

I’ve been wanting to try out a spindolyn since I first saw them. It’s a very interesting little tool but not something that I would use regularly because of my preferred spinning style. It is however wonderful to spin up neppy wools and when you want a ridiculous amount of loft in your yarn!

Nyoomed these paw pads through the sewing machine. After I sew these in, I’m forced to wait for the package of accompanying claws to arrive to complete these sets.

This is getting unwieldy & difficult to photograph progress. But I’ve only got 10 rows left of colourwork design left before the top ribbing section so I’m super excited to finish it.

Did some work down in the workshop this week. I’ve got the parts of my fibre blending board all cut & sanded, just waiting on some hardware in order to finish it off. My glass whorl from Glassbead in etsy & custom spindle sticks to fit from The Dancing Goats arrived too. I sanded smooth…

Spinning some merino on my new Mingo&Asho glasspin. I taught myself to spin supported earlier this year. I found fleegle style spinning to be the most comfortable on my support spindles as its a kind of unsupported style which accommodates short or long draw. Do you like watching my spinning videos? Marathon session with lots of accidental stabbing getting all the fingers aligned & sewn. No kidding, this is a finnicky pattern!

Aaaaaand I’m at it again. I must admit that really I’m just trying to use up a stash of silicone beads I have lying around…problem is I run out of colours that go together which prompts more bead purchases…
