  • Massive disappoint and frustration. When I was finishing this handspun I noticed that the purple colour was bleeding A LOT in the cold water washes. Bleeding yarn is bad as any wool you knit with it will get bled into the next time you wash it. So I attempted to fix the issue. Hot vinegar…

  • I did something crazy & bought an advent calendar this year … a wool/fibre advent calendar! I’m going to try do a post every day of December this year as I open up each packet of this World Of Wool advent calendar box. This is gonna be fun!

  • I’ve been wanting to try out a spindolyn since I first saw them. It’s a very interesting little tool but not something that I would use regularly because of my preferred spinning style. It is however wonderful to spin up neppy wools and when you want a ridiculous amount of loft in your yarn!

  • Did some work down in the workshop this week. I’ve got the parts of my fibre blending board all cut & sanded, just waiting on some hardware in order to finish it off. My glass whorl from Glassbead in etsy & custom spindle sticks to fit from The Dancing Goats arrived too. I sanded smooth…
