  • Made up the fur cover for Miwak’s feetpaws. Still have to shave down the toes and set the claws before gluing down to the base.

  • Appliqué beanz have never really appealed to me as nowhere in nature do you see animals walking around with little seam lines on their feet pads. So I choose to handsew beans onto feetpaw bottoms as I like the nice, clean, realistic edge. It’s a bit more work but worth it!

  • Testing out my new slim feetpaw pattern. These are all the pieces for a set of lemon & navy paws. I have no need for these so they will be sold upon completion.

  • FURSUIT TIP! Thought I’d share how I do paw finger escapes. I sew large button holes to one side of the lining before sewing all the lining together. After stitching the lining to the paw, I then blanket stitch the button hole to the fur. This makes it much cleaner and prevents the escapes fraying…

  • Patterning up Miwak’s head. I took the forehead rest out to get a closer match to my tiny head dimensions on the Edhead. I also patterned up their footpaw off camera. All ready for fur purchasing now. 😊

  • And Miwak’s feet are complete! They have shoes installed inside and they are so comfy to jump around in.

  • Whenever you create, modify, or adapt a pattern it’s always a good idea to create a mock-up first. I’m adapting the principals of the FurSmoothie pattern to create a more bear-like foot paw with 5 toes.

  • It is becoming increasingly apparent that this is not a tail I ever wish to remake. First pic is the pieces for the first 2 segments, took about 2 hours to extract. Finally, 3 days and multiple cuttings sessions later, I present the rolls of pattern. 😵‍💫

  • Started work on Miwak’s bone tail. It’s going to look fantastic but I immediately see issues with putting on the minky sleeve. It’s also highly unlikely I’ll get this, plus paws and head, done by spring, when my maker will have an opening for the body suit…
