  • First pieces for Miwak’s hood. Decided this time I would only cut pieces matching the section I’m sewing, so I don’t drown in pieces. So far I’m feeling that this project is manageable.

  • Please enjoy this time lapse of the making of Miwak’s paws. Over 13 hours compressed into about 2 minutes.

  • Feetpaw progress! I’ve set the claws and sewn on one foot bottom. Have to finish up the other one and sew in the lining on both. Sooo close to being finished!

  • So I made a booboo and didn’t take enough photos for my finger escape tutorial. So, I’m having to make a whole new set of paws to finish the tutorial off. Look out for these paws! I’m planning to hold a raffle over on twitter for these in the new year

  • So I did end up adjusting the pattern a tad to fix some fur direction issues and account for the back hair tuft now being made from kanekalon rather than long fur.

  • Finished another set of pre-made paws from the new super slim sockpaw pattern. I’m very pleased with this pattern. This pair has a foam innersole and firm stuffing around the toes and heel for comfort. These will be released into my etsy shop in the next few days.

  • Miwak’s tail is complete! Final weigh in is 2.3kg but it doesn’t feel like it when worn.

  • Made up the fur cover for Miwak’s feetpaws. Still have to shave down the toes and set the claws before gluing down to the base.

  • Finished prototype of the new slim feetpaws pattern. I have no use for these so I’ll be putting the, up in my Etsy shop.

  • Attaching the lumbar belt involved layering the endcap, sewing down the top webbing to the endcap, sewing the belt to the endcap, then handsewing the bottom webbing to the top webbing internally. A test fit revealed the tail is sitting too high and the belt stitching is too wide causing pulling where my body curves.…
