  • Jackalope feetpaws made using #FurSmoothie’s pattern. They have shoes inside, and some extra squish under the soles as the shoes are just basic canvas slip-ons. I am quite impressed with this pattern, totally changed my mind about gluing as opposed to carving foam. Might smooth out the hock hump but otherwise ready to fur.

  • Miwak’s headbase is largely completed. No eyelids yet as still need to hook up the leds. I am also loving how well this fits me; it doesn’t slip at all & the jaw movement is partially kinetic with the slack taken up by the springs

  • One glove done for K’rahmyteh. The silver swirls are conductive thread. Now to complete the other one and add the claws.

  • This has taken literal days to pattern and patterning isn’t completely finished yet! It’s the most complex thing I’ve made to date.

  • Several days work later and I have this absolute unit of a tail. Need to smooth out the sculpt before patterning & sewing each individual segment, before it’s connected into a single unit.

  • Completed all the base modifications for Miwak. Eyes were drilled with bases re-sculpted, eye vents enlarged, jowls heat formed, nose vents drilled, jawset installed with gums sculpted, and all hardware attachments drilled in. Time to do some painting!

  • The hinges remained too bendy despite reforming. A big thanks to @TwinBlueChimera who suggested to expose them to sunlight to harden them further as they are a photopolymer resin. Three 2 hour exposures to indirect sunlight and they are now noticeably stiffer and able to support the base mask, as well as mask+antlers, when resting…

  • Jackalope update! Major hardware is now all installed. Chin has been extended to compensate for glasses pushing the mask out from the face. Gums, lips, and antler bases are apoxie sculpted. Eyes drilled out. Antlers are removable for storage. Jawset by DrakonicKnight. Base by StuffedPanda. Antlers by DVC. Flexible hinges, forehead rest, head harness by…

  • ARGH! Hinges have warped!! I think it’s from downward weight on the head top as I was fiddling around with the antlers last night before setting the head down before bed. Dissassembled as soon as I saw them this morning. Have to try to reform them today.

  • Started work on the wings portion of the fursuit project. K’rahmyteh has smallish, stubby wings akin to a kakapo. These feathers were designed via a combination of sketching out a full sized wing using a photoshoped me with kakapo wings, sketching out the individual feathers, then modifying #SunnybrookOne’s raven wing feather pattern to match my…
