  • Progress on the collab tail. This is designed to sit a little bit proud instead of letting gravity pull it straight down. I’m wondering whether to do a simple appliqué back or just a plain back…?

  • I’m doing a collab with @urboros for a premade that will appear at one of the major USA convenetions later this year. I’m doing a tail, stretch gloves, and armsleeves – these are all the parts for the tail. Urboros is doing the head, so go check out their progress over on their socials!

  • Finally got an opportunity to do up a pair of feetpaws using the foxfire fantasy legacy pattern. Total number of pieces = 38, took all day to cut & shave.

  • I’m planning to do a sandwich of some black fur between the dark to light transitions on the top of the tail, just to add some extra texture, which meant I had to change the construction order to allow for those strips to easily be put in. I also like how this change to normal…

  • Wow, what a difference a trim makes! Left before trimming. Right after trimming.

  • I’m determined to actually finish this costume piece! It’s now officially in the ugly stage after getting a super thin layer of foam clay to join all the main forms together. Once dry all the lumps will be sanded smooth.

  • Glued up the cosplay helmet pattern (by Mellowmind on Etsy) that I use instead of a bucket head base. For some reason all the seams didn’t want to stick cleanly so there’s heap of filling I’ll need to do using foam clay. It’s also gonna need extensive modification so the kemono mask can be attached…

  • Almost finished the paws then the parasaur set is done! The finger nails have piece of thin laser cut acrylic glued into an internal pocket to stiffen the base of the nail. Just have to sew on the cuffs and a tidy up clip now.

  • A fews hours work on the parasaur paws. I must say that being able to do large parts of these on the sewing machine due to the minky really sped up the construction.
