I taped up with the padding and discovered I’d created the dreaded drumstick leg! Oh noes! #FursuitTutorials was excellent in helping me understand what went wrong (knee pads upside down and too small, wrong shaped pads, overstuffing). So I made up some new pads which already look so much better.

Made up the butt and thigh pads for the fursuit. I want the illusion of super fluffy legs and the knee being more hidden in body fluff, like actual birds, and I think pads accomplish this well alongside the tail nub and the 4” fur I’ll be using. Next up is to re-pattern!
