After seeing how well check padding worked on Miwak, I decided to add some to the Jackalope, and wow! So much better now! Also installed the eyes and eyelids, and attempted to fix the rubbing on the upper tooth (but it hates me).

This paint job looks much better than previous, more alive. These are the completed antlers for the jackalope project.

Jackalope update! Major hardware is now all installed. Chin has been extended to compensate for glasses pushing the mask out from the face. Gums, lips, and antler bases are apoxie sculpted. ARGH! Hinges have warped!! I think it’s from downward weight on the head top as I was fiddling around with the antlers last night before setting the head down before bed. Dissassembled as soon as I saw them this morning. Have to try to reform them today.
