Finally completed Miwaks skull hat! My aim was to make it as light as possible, & given the materials used I think that 0.5g is pretty darn good! Just have to do a few last edits on the head and suit, & then the big reveal!

Glued up the cosplay helmet pattern (by Mellowmind on Etsy) that I use instead of a bucket head base. For some reason all the seams didn’t want to stick cleanly so there’s heap of filling I’ll need to do using foam clay. It’s also gonna need extensive modification so the kemono mask can be attached…
-
Glued up the kemono style headbase for my pokesona fusion. Gonna have to do a lot more base work, including building & attaching a helmet head back.
-
Completed parasaur head for the mini partial premade! This features swappable tongues & the tongue is able to be positioned 4 ways for cute licking fun. The mouth has a hidden soft palette detail. Plus the vision in this head absolutely fantastic!
-
Hemmed all the raw edges before glueing the fur down. Glueing was tricky because the back under the sail had to remain open for the hood to fit over, then that had to be henson stitched closed. Still needs a nose/eye trim.
-
All the fur pieces for the parasaur head. I’ve grouped everything into the four main sections which will be assembled first, then those larger sections will be fitted together.
-
Parasaur mask is now ready for it’s fur. The inside has been tidied using EVA foam for cleanliness, mouth soft palette installed, two interchangeable tongues with velcro attachment, rare earth magnets in nose/chin for the blep tongue, & removeable/adjustable foam padding.
-
Progress on the parasaur premade! Eyelids & beak were painted and antiqued using atelier acrylics, then sealed with atelier gloss varnish. I’m also deciding on an eye colour and design; so far I’m leaning towards an oval or rectangular pupil with either dark/rich browns or a purple iris. Gonna do up a few more sets…
-
A lot of modifications later and I’m pretty happy with the form now. The eyes are just placeholders until I settle on a colourway design – until then, this is being set aside.
-
I used a modified cosplay ‘space’ style helmet instead and glued that into the head form. I then added foam clay to fill in seams and make a solid beak (it’ll be covered in worbla later) and a nose hump. Might still do some minor adjustments then sand it all smooth.
