  • Yes, this sculpt had been sitting on my dining table the entire 2023 unfinished. But no more! It literally only needed some beak/claw/toe touchups & the feather spots/edging. Still a few things to do after a quick seal, but she’s gonna be done!

  • After being neglected due to work, I’m determined to finish this gryphon off. Completed the antiquing and drybrushing aspect of the shading & feather details. Eyes are sitting in there so I could get a feel of how it’s coming along.

  • Spent all of a morning shading all the scales. Also added in the metallic black details.

  • I’m working on a personal windstone gryphon kitty to resemble my parrot. I’m trying to blend traditional antiquing with my preferred wash layering painting style. You can see the difference when I go back with water layering after doing a rough antique to pull out the texture.

  • Owlbear by #missmonstermel painted with reference to a horned owl and a panda. Painted using atelier acrylics.

  • Windstones hen figurine painted with reference to a silver laced wyandotte chicken. Painted using multiple atelier acrylic washes with apple green pearl ex pigments mixed into the black edging for shimmer.

  • I decided to do a silver laced wyandotte paint job on this #windstones hen. It’s going to look amazing but painting the feather edges is screwing up my stigmatism! 😵‍💫

  • A windstones phoenix painted with reference to a black rooster. Completed using multiple atelier acrylic and folk art colour shift paint washes.

  • These figures were all painted over the Christmas/New Years period and I’ve just got around to getting good photos. All were painted using atelier acrylic paints and pearl ex pigments. – scugog and sal by #homemadehorrors – faffnuff by #missmonster – foo puppy by #windstoneseditions
