  • Finished blackwork sampler! I love how every letter/number has a different patterned background.

  • Some progress on the blackwork. This is looking so good and I only have a few squares left to do.

  • I needed to do some stitching for my sanity, so I decided to give blackwork a go. I can’t believe I’ve never done blackwork before, especially since it’s basically cross-stitch adjacent!

  • Finished the sashiko cherry blossoms panel. I really like this design, so it’s sad it’s not being produced anymore. This was supposed to be a runner for our TV unit, however after placing it on the unit and doing some calculations it turns out the panel is too big to allow for it to be…

  • Plugging away at this still. I decided to use a hoop this time to see if that prevented the oils from my hands warping the cotton and the conclusion is yes, but it also seems to be speeding up the stitching whilst making it more even as well!

  • Recently got the last print of this cherry blossom design. Unsure whether it’ll be a new tablecloth or a runner as yet.

  • Little Link is all done. I think I might get him framed in a circular frame, if I can find one.

  • So I procrastinated just a little bit too hard over the week. Will finish this little sprite off over the next few days.

  • Finished off the blood orange version. Now to order my circular wood frames for the set of oranges.

  • We’re on to the rind now. I’m thinking to replace 2 of the colours in the rind with something more orangey to really make the blood orange middle pop, but I’ll have to see.
