  • Yesterday I welcomed Idris, the petrichor peryton, into my little critter flock. Idris made by @homemadehorrors

  • Completed shiba plush, done with NazFx’s pattern. NFS. This chonk already has a home.

  • Main forms have been sewn. Next steps are to appliqué the inner ear details & sew, then assemble everything.

  • Starting the last major project for the year … NazFx’s shiba plush pattern! These are the 43 pieces of the plush pattern, but since I don’t have an embroidery machine, there are going to be more pieces cut for the face and paw details.

  • I just realised I never shared my new family member! Meet Kettle. He’s a lammergier vulture gryphon, lovingly assembled by @wormsandbones. You may be seeing Kettle assisting me in my making sometimes. And go check out @wormsandbones, they are truely amazing!

  • Stuffed all the parts, ready for detailing. Also made the weight bag for the body, ready to be inserted when the limbs/head are installed.

  • A natural coloured bear in progress. Here’s a look at all 52 pieces, which took about 5 hours total to cut and prepare for sewing.

  • Finished face and head is now attached to the body. What a cutie this one is going to be when finished!

  • My sewing machine disliked the leather/suede material so I ended up handstitching the feet paw pads rather than risking the suede. The bear has now been jointed and the head stuffed. Next step is finishing the head before it’s jointed to the body.
