Feather fan of the collab tail is completed and ready to be sewn into the main tail section. I chose to appliqué the feather lines to make them stand out more and give a bit more strength for the internal wire that’ll keep the fan nice & stiff.

Completely forgot to take photos of the assembly process. You’ll just have to believe me that it had to all be handsewing & was obnoxious. The last step is to give these paws a haircut – I love seeing the difference a trim makes!

Ears! I tried to use the ball joints from a phone stand to get poseability but they poked up behind the sculpts raised bits too much, so back to plain galvanised wire. I’m so happy how the paint work came out on them too.

Completed hexagon shelves. These are now securely hung in my stairwell & host about half of my figurines made by @verdantsculpts, plus a few other random sculpts.

Progress on the collab tail. This is designed to sit a little bit proud instead of letting gravity pull it straight down. I’m wondering whether to do a simple appliqué back or just a plain back…?

Got all gaps filled, everything sanded, & chiseled out the inserts for the hanging brackets. Only thing left is to varnish, install hardware, & hang.

Completed double knit fossil cowl. Pattern is the ‘Fossil Frenzy Cowl’ by HandHuntKnits that was adapted for double knitting technique.
