I’ve been doing some experimenting with making eyes. I have discovered copic markers blend out well under E6000 glue, and adding Derwent Inktense pencil details over the copics creates a beautiful semi blending effect. The Inktense pencils also blend with the copic colourless blender

Working on another pre-made tail, just because. This one is a king cheetah.

Have got all the base/tone colours down and started on the feather barring on the wings. Next up is doing all the barring on the butt/leg/chest feathers.
-
Finished some pre-made paws. The fur is super dooper soft and each paw has a right/left label

A few hours later and I have a forehead section ready for mask attachment. The pet mesh prevents the fur sagging into the crest rig. The rolled edge creates a more natural looking finish whilst helping to hide the gap between the crest and hood. Also sewed the eyebrows into place along the unrolled edges…

Did some work on these paws over the weekend. I have decided I definitely hate this blue fur as it’s so darn slippery!
-
Finished orange slice cross stitch. Took about 100 hours to complete and is destined for my kitchen wall.
-
Finished off all the machine sewing on the hood; zipper install and edge finish. I am never prepared for how many pins a simple task inevitably needs!
-
Trying out insetting patterns and setting claws a different way. I’m also considering re-working this pattern as the thumb position looks a bit strange.

Only really the rind left now. Looking juicy!
