  • Finished up this paint by numbers. There’s something about this design that I really like, the colours all contrast yet blend together so nicely. Like last time I also sealed it to protect the paint from dust and fading.

  • Progress on the baby whale. So close to finishing now…

  • Finished all the bunting! In total there is around 30ish metres of bunting (enough to span 6m between two trees twice and to edge 3 tables). Sewing all this used up a bit over 1300 metres of thread! But my, it does look pretty festive!

  • I’ve been trying to keep COVID off this page, but its got to the point that people are telling me to cancel my wedding which is 7 months in the future because of it. I know that right now everything is a bit horrible and I really feel for those who have had to cancel…

This is the finished cage cover. Despite careful measuring for some reason it has one end invert shorter by 2.5cm and a lining pucker under half a…

  • Slowly getting there with the dragon cross stitch. Stitching on black is really hard on the eyes, particularly when some sections are the same colour in different stitches!

  • A little crochet caique. Wonder what my baby bird will think of the mini-him…

  • Decided to make a cage cover for the birdcage as all the commercial ones are boring! Found this cute fabric and taught myself how to calculate for inverted box pleats. Now I just need to find where I packed the sewing machine…
