Completed cross stitch lighthouse. This came out so pretty, can’t wait to get it framed.
-
Almost finished, just have to do all the detail work. Final backstitching and details are my favourite part of an embroidery because it pulls a whole picture together.
-
WIP of the lighthouse cross stitch. I haven’t got much to do now & most of the last quadrant is half stitches which go pretty quickly.
-
Completed little gardener chickadee. How cute is it?!
-
On the homeward stretch now! Although the outer motif is making me cross-eyed as I stitch it 😵

I always misjudge how long detailing actually takes, my brain thinks it doesn’t take long because it’s just lines but in reality it can take days. This represents about 3 days of work.
-
Finished all the main colour & it’s ready for the long-stitch details!
-
This is such a joy to stitch! I love the variety of songbirds that live throughout America.
-
Started up another dimensions kit from my stash. I’m quite enjoying this one as I can finish a bird or 2 in a session which gives an immediate sense of accomplishment.

One of my schools office staff is leaving at the end of term for pastures new. Instead of simply pitching in money for an office gift, I decided I make a ‘school key survival kit’ for them as they liked my silicone bead lanyards/keychains.
