  • Down to the final segments.   • Homeward stretch of the bonetail. The last 2 sections have to be completed separately as I need to reinforce them in the machine before connecting to the main sleeve. Here you can see the side seam to close, and pins marking a shaping dart to be sew into each spine.

  • Finished the core of Miwak’s tail. It has a pool noodle running through the middle, the elastic provides stability lengthwise and around the segment connections. Belt attachment is going to be a challenge as it’s designed to sit on the butt.

  • Several days work later and I have this absolute unit of a tail. Need to smooth out the sculpt before patterning & sewing each individual segment, before it’s connected into a single unit.
