Moffy is super difficult to photograph! The mask (so far) features an iridescent paint job, moveable ear tufts, moving jaw, and orange glow eyes. This mask isn’t finished yet. I am planning to add a fur hood with included rooster feathers, but that’s going to have to wait until I have more money for materials.

Completed commission for a pair of custom foxfire legacy wolf feetpaws.

Completely forgot to take photos of the assembly process. You’ll just have to believe me that it had to all be handsewing & was obnoxious. The last step is to give these paws a haircut – I love seeing the difference a trim makes!

Visited the Sydney Royal Easter Show today & Look!! The yarn (WOW blend Yzma’s New Groove) I entered into the class for wholly spun & plied on a hand spindle placed 3rd!! Bonus was my crochet handspun made shawl was selected for display. I am so ridiculously happy & proud since I’ve only been doing…

I added in the dark navy textural fur similarly to how you’d add trim to garments. I really like how this defines the colour segments. I may have also accidentally made a fancy-ish end cap…

Spent most of a morning cutting out all these many pieces for the bee inspired tail. This giant puff nub goes with the paws I was making earlier.

First pass of hand sewing on these paws is now completed. Next I need to do the machine sewing of the pads before they can be installed.

Bit late, but everything got away from me. Plus it was really hard to pick things I’d made last year I was proud of. Last year felt really overwhelming & I didn’t feel like I made much which clearly wasn’t true at all. Anyway, these are my favourites from last year.

Took my new handmade blending board & packing brush set (from Celestial Farms on Etsy) for a spin. All these rolags weighed in at 351 grams. The Splatoon-a-melon is merino, bio nylon, trilobal nylon, & rose fibre. The Aussie rolags are merino, superwash merino, trilobal nylon, & rose fibre.

A friend had been wanting a set of my paws for a while but didn’t want to ask because they knew how much work/$$ goes into them. So I decided that would be their Christmas present this year & got them to pick out fabrics from my stash. They’re gonna look sooo cute!
