I’ve discovered a simpler way to join binding. Fold the outside end in at an angle, the underneath piece you cut straight and just tuck the edge that could be seen under. When the binding is all finished, it looks just like a proper bias join edge.

I’ve finally gotten around to making up my turntable cover. Got to use the quilters pad and mini iron I got earlier this year for my birthday, they’re really neat!

Forgot to take progress photos of this project. I needed something for the top of my upright piano, so I decided to create a quilted runner with sashiko panels. Fabrics are a mix of standard quilting patterned fabrics and traditional woven japanese fabrics. Top stitching was done following the borders of all the rectangle blocks.…
