  • I need to get a bucket base inside this mask before foam sculpting details on the face. I’m planning to try to bully this MissRar’s bucket base into it…somehow…

  • Finished commission for egg_exotic on twitter. These have a lot of special features; finger escapes, semi hidden stripe details on paw backs, mitten string with paw liner attachment loop, & hidden deluxe tail belt loop. (my tail caps come with gore caps as standard cause they’re fun)

  • This fox jaw gave me angst! Due to space/shaping constraints the jaws had to be set back a little further than I would’ve liked which posed issues for sculpting. The lower jaw was resculpted 3 times until it looked believable. The upper jaw needed extra gums to aid illusion of correct teeth placement due to…

  • Miwak’s head is finished! I am soo happy with how they turned out. Sadly, I’ve had several issues with commissioning his bodysuit, so he’s going to have to remain a partial for now until I can sort that out (fingers crossed next times the charm).

  • I have done the first pass of the haircut. This took several hours as I cut from the bottom up in layers to ensure a nice layered rag style. I’ll come back later to refine the overall shape, add some shagginess into the mane, and do the final shave on the face.

  • Windstones hen figurine painted with reference to a silver laced wyandotte chicken. Painted using multiple atelier acrylic washes with apple green pearl ex pigments mixed into the black edging for shimmer.

  • I decided to do a silver laced wyandotte paint job on this #windstones hen. It’s going to look amazing but painting the feather edges is screwing up my stigmatism! 😵‍💫

  • Gluing down Miwak’s face. It’s easy if you glue in stages and make sure the whole face is centred first, and if hot glue drips on the fur accidentally just wait until it cures then it cleanly picks straight off without damaging the fur. The lower jaw gets glued once I’ve sewed the face and…

  • Decided to try out mask building using EVA. This is KazPlay’s para mask pattern and it was really fun to do. I’m planning to do some experimentation on this sculpting the keratin beak etc in foam clay and fixing the jaw in a stationery open-mouthed position. If it looks ok, I might turn it into…

  • I spent a couple of delightful hours dremeling. Miwak’s eye ports needed smoothing, a half snarl mask needed prepping, and I started prep work for the next cosplay (spirit of the north fox).
