  • Finished the core of Miwak’s tail. It has a pool noodle running through the middle, the elastic provides stability lengthwise and around the segment connections. Belt attachment is going to be a challenge as it’s designed to sit on the butt.

  • Started work on Miwak’s bone tail. It’s going to look fantastic but I immediately see issues with putting on the minky sleeve. It’s also highly unlikely I’ll get this, plus paws and head, done by spring, when my maker will have an opening for the body suit…

  • Almost finished another pre-made. I’m really happy with this pattern, it’s officially my go to now.

  • Paw parts and a tail gore piece all ready for install on their respective pieces. Doing all this took a goodly few hours and several mis-spooled bobbins

  • Working on another pre-made tail, just because. This one is a king cheetah.

  • A few hours later and I have a forehead section ready for mask attachment. The pet mesh prevents the fur sagging into the crest rig. The rolled edge creates a more natural looking finish whilst helping to hide the gap between the crest and hood. Also sewed the eyebrows into place along the unrolled edges…

  • Did some work on these paws over the weekend. I have decided I definitely hate this blue fur as it’s so darn slippery!

  • Finished off all the machine sewing on the hood; zipper install and edge finish. I am never prepared for how many pins a simple task inevitably needs!

  • This paint job looks much better than previous, more alive. These are the completed antlers for the jackalope project.
