Got all gaps filled, everything sanded, & chiseled out the inserts for the hanging brackets. Only thing left is to varnish, install hardware, & hang.

Completed double knit fossil cowl. Pattern is the ‘Fossil Frenzy Cowl’ by HandHuntKnits that was adapted for double knitting technique.
This cowl was a year in the making, with lots and lots of help from a member in my fibre community who helped work out colour control for the twisted rib & created a stretchy twisted rib bind off for me. I dedicate this shawl to them, as without them this crazy idea to double knit this would never have happened.
The foxfire legacy pattern achieves that beautiful digit/foot definition via SO MANY DARTS! 😂
Neither me or my partner wanted to work in the garage, so we drilled the pilot holes for the nails (orange thing is a placement jig) and glued some shelves together in the house. Some of the boards were warped slightly, so fitting everything as snuggly as possible was interesting.
Completed chunky lace shawl & a companion chunky hat using fisherman rib.
I’m doing a collab with @urboros for a premade that will appear at one of the major USA convenetions later this year. I’m doing a tail, stretch gloves, and armsleeves – these are all the parts for the tail. Urboros is doing the head, so go check out their progress over on their socials!
Visited the Sydney Royal Easter Show today & Look!! The yarn (WOW blend Yzma’s New Groove) I entered into the class for wholly spun & plied on a hand spindle placed 3rd!! Bonus was my crochet handspun made shawl was selected for display. I am so ridiculously happy & proud since I’ve only been doing this craft for a year.
Finally got an opportunity to do up a pair of feetpaws using the foxfire fantasy legacy pattern. Total number of pieces = 38, took all day to cut & shave.
My partners workplace has a maker space, so I got him to help me laser cut ear & eye pieces for the moffman mask. I cut so many eye pieces because I’m still undecided which combo to go for, but I definitely now know I’m using the orange EL wire.
The bind off was developed for me by a member of one of my fibre clubs, because it seems like no one has done a twisted rib bind of for double knitting (bizarre).
I’ve actually had a lot of people asking about it, so I’ve asked them for permission to share. They first want to rewrite the instructions and make a nicer video tutorial. Once they have done that they are more than happy for me to share that link. Out of respect for them I have chosen to respect their wish to polish the instructions, I don’t want to be a credit stealer!
