Finished my sashiko table runner.
Its got some lightweight cotton batting inside for some heat resistant properties and a beautiful japanese weave fabric backing.

Progress on the Itoshiki Nozomu cosplay. Just have to finish off the back of the hakama and tidy up some loose threads. Then onto the prop making!

The finished Firefly quote. Looking forward to getting this framed and popping it up in the counsellor office. Positivity plus, also lets see how many kids are closet nerds

Beavering away on my sashiko table runner. Almost finished the first panel now!
-
These sashiko square panels are destined to become a set of placemats for my ‘I’m going to move out soon’ collection of stuff.
I’m going to start stitching them into a placemats using the fabrics I got a the craft fair a few weeks ago, just need to decide on how to arrange the design first!

Stitching up some nerdy pop culture quote. Nothing fancy here…

Went to the Stitches ‘n’ Craft fair today. Top is my modest haul; Japanese fabrics for my sashiko placements (yay! I can finish them now!), a cracked agate bead string, a black agate bead string, & a swarowski crystal gemstone pendant.
The beads are all for my Kahram’teh byrd costume. I’m collecting bits n bobs whilst I wait for Crystumes to open up for head blanks again.
The rest of the photos are some of the amazing international quilts that are currently on tour around the craft fairs. Honestly, people who quilt I give lots of kudos to cause the detail they pack into these things is mind boggling!

Started working on the yukata for my Nozomu Itoshiki cosplay. These are the sleeves.
-
A while back I ordered an advertised 15” laptop sleeve from Society6. Unfortunately, when it arrived it was far too small to fit my 15” laptop, which was odd…
The company told me that their 15” sleeves are actually only 14” (what the?!) and they gave me a refund but said to keep the product anyway (again, what?!).
To avoid material wastage, I deconstructed the original product to get the art print, added a wide boarder to get the extra inches needed and stitched everything up again over a new neoprene insert.
Not as sleek as a commercial product, but I think its rather swell and it protects my tech much better than the original!
