Finished the mask modifications! The skull was way too flat at the front so I had to sculpt it out to get a more rounded shape. The grey stuff is apoxy sculpt to build out a flat surface to install the eyes (hot glue was too runny to successfully do a thick build-out, and I tried silione which was good until I realised nothing else would glue to it). Tongue was also installed.
I thought an orange cut in half would make a good cross stitch. I think I was right!
In re-doing the eyeballs I also decided to remake the eyelids. Exactly the same process as before, except the eyelids are now minky fabric that I sewed onto the frames.
School term is making me stressed and tired. So I decided to take a break from the major ‘thinking’ fursuit project to do some stitching.
So here’s a sashiko harvest ribbon design. I’m thinking of making it into a mini wall hanging at a later date.
School is wearing me down so I don’t have enough energy to focus on my major project. So I’ve started a new cross stitch so I have something relatively mindless to do until school holidays roll around again.

Went to the Sydney Craft ‘n’ Quilt Fair this weekend. First photo are some new stitching projects I picked up.
The rest are some really neat quilts that really stood out for me from all the competition quilts.
The making of the eyelids and the replacement eyes (cause I fucked the first set up, this set was also fucked up with bubbles so I’m now doing a 3rd pair of eyeballs).
One eyelid doesn’t close as much as the other but I’m not too bothered about that as you wont notice once the hood goes on.
I made the pattern by hand and had to do several modifications on the fly. So it’s not something that I will make publically accessible.
If you are interested in making a raptor plush, I would strongly encourage you to attempt to make up your own pattern. How I started was blocking out a side silhouette on a large piece of paper and using that as a base to pull out all the individual sections. I’d be very interested in seeing how you go with your own creation. Good luck!
