This is a much better pattern! Look at that range of movement, so many wiggles. A few minor tweaks still, but none that will stop me ordering fur now!

I aim to finish the bulk of this fursuit this year. But first some problem solving. Left is the identified problems with the current pattern/test fit. Right are the modifications to the overall padding and shapes to resolve. Next step is to re-tape the pattern & make another test fit.

Finally finished the bumble bee! The photo doesn’t do it justice, it looks very realistic in real life.
-
Finished wave diamond painting. This looks way better in person from a slight distance!

Finished up the apron.
It’s a sweet & simple design, but I’m not a fan of the finishing. I want one for myself now, so I’m thinking I’ll either experiment…or be lazy and find a different pattern that includes trims.

Finished set of 5 finger paws; steel blue fur, ivory fox fur, ivory minky claws, & black minky pads with a printed cotton lining.
I’m really pleased with how these came out. Materials are all locally sourced, paw movement modelled by my partner. As these were an experiment I don’t really have a use for them, so I may consider selling them.

Labouriously sewing in the pads and clipping parts together whilst watching Adam Savage.

Making up a craft apron with lots of handy pockets for my mum from my scrap stash.

It’s hot here in Australia. Making progress on something watery. Maybe I’ll go jump in the ocean later…

I want 5 finger paws for some future personal suits, so I decided to make my own generic ‘feral animal’ pattern and practice sewing it. These are the pieces of the prototype paw. I may consider selling this set once completed (only because I can’t keep literally everything I make 🤣)
