I always do a test fit of the belt tube before my endcaps get sewn down. I also pin down to the stabiliser foam insert in multiple places to ensure the cap can’t rotate when I secure it to the fur.
Since the discourse about fursuits being too expensive is going around again, here’s a pattern for a fursuit head. That’s 28 pieces just for half a head! The final head will be 58 outer fur pieces total & all that all get preshaven & I hand sew. The mouth, lining, and internal battery pockets will be even more pieces. This is one of the reasons fursuits are expensive, they are a handmade artisan product.
The snowy ground is now completed. This took waaay longer than I anticipated, mainly because every time I changed colour I found a minor error in the previous colour that needed correcting.
The parasaur premade is all patterned! MwahHaHa!
Just waiting for the furs to arrive now.
Look at my new pants! I really love this pattern as it’s proven to be a perfect fit for my multisized body. The pinstripe and blue check are made from a 100% wool blend, the grey is a wool blend garbedine; all fabrics are super soft and snuggly.
Comm progress. I’m really liking how the different fur textures are interacting on this piece. I also had to handsew parts as the furs are so thick my machine refused to take it along some seams.
This is the last paint-by-numbers I got on sale many years ago, when I first decided to try the kits out. It’s also probably the most complicated. I’m hoping I really like it when finished as I remember I got it because the design seemed so nice at distance.
Some progress shots of the second pair of pants. Steps shown are basic construction, mock flat fell seaming, positioning the zipper, and attaching the waistband.
Loon WE gryphon. This piece has been handpainted with atelier paints, pearlEx pigments, & finished with a UV resistant satin finish.
NFS this piece already has a home.
I’m slowly replacing all the pants I’ve had since I was 12yo with ones that actually fit me. This pair is made from a very soft suiting wool & feels divine!
