When your paws are too big for the chip packet
Merry Christmas everyone!
I’m off visiting family over the holiday period, so no new art until I get back. I’ll schedule some throwback posts though.
Completed double tree frogs decoupage. Again a photo to show the effect from the way it’s meant to be viewed, and a video to show the full effect of the paper tole technique.
Main forms have been sewn. Next steps are to appliqué the inner ear details & sew, then assemble everything.
I’m on a roll, currently doing up the companion print for the tree frog. This one is slightly more annoying as there’s lots of tucking instead of straight overlay.
Completed tree frog paper tole. Time taken was 4 sittings of about 3-4 hours each.
I’ve almost done with all the plush feature details. I am using quality wool felt & everything has been hand sewn down using a teensy fairy stitch. I think this mimics machine embroidery pretty damn well honestly!
The candle making blitz is over. In total I hand coloured, scented, & poured about 80ish candles which all went to family, friends, and colleagues.
Sadly, I can’t photograph scents so you’ll have to image them. Each candle shape is scented differently; ancient pine (closed pinecone), Christmas night (open pinecone), Australiana bush walk (walnut), and Christmas pudding.
Completed parasaur tail for the premade. Features a hidden belt tunnel that passes through the foam core.
