Finished the lake foreground & skyline scrub sections, and have started on the clouds.

‘Superbia orciapis’ WE kirin. This piece is painted using FolkArt metallics, FolkArt colourshift, & atelier acrylic paints, and is sealed with a UV protective gloss topcoat. The colour scheme is based on the orchid bee. I’ve decided to keep this one for my collection but will be painting more windstones in this colour scheme in the future.

Significant progress on the parasaur head. This is the most confusing pattern I’ve ever done, mainly due to the complex colour transitions.

Got my birthday present early this year. I’ve been wanting a dedicated shop space in our garage for a long time and the dream is now real! I’ve already spent several happy days organising all my tools. The only things left to acquire/build is a rubber mat to protect the benchtop when I’m gluing, a cut mat, a foam sheet storage, & a sandpaper storage rack.

Spent all of a morning shading all the scales. Also added in the metallic black details.

All the fur pieces for the parasaur head. I’ve grouped everything into the four main sections which will be assembled first, then those larger sections will be fitted together.

Have been working on this metallic bee colourway. I’m considering doing this scheme again on the same sculpt with the airbrush too to see the difference between painting techniques.

Parasaur mask is now ready for it’s fur. The inside has been tidied using EVA foam for cleanliness, mouth soft palette installed, two interchangeable tongues with velcro attachment, rare earth magnets in nose/chin for the blep tongue, & removeable/adjustable foam padding.

Progress on the water. Have to go to the store again for more thread as ran out of more kit colours, which I’m super annoyed by.
