I’m determined to actually finish this costume piece! It’s now officially in the ugly stage after getting a super thin layer of foam clay to join all the main forms together. Once dry all the lumps will be sanded smooth.

Glued up the cosplay helmet pattern (by Mellowmind on Etsy) that I use instead of a bucket head base. For some reason all the seams didn’t want to stick cleanly so there’s heap of filling I’ll need to do using foam clay. It’s also gonna need extensive modification so the kemono mask can be attached directly at the top head seam (1st pic) yet also be orientated correctly (2nd pic).

I bought this white scandinavian mountain sheep wool to practice on my gossamer spindle. It’s quite scratchy because of the short guard hairs but also fluffy.
I didn’t know how I wanted to ply this as I don’t have a project in mind for it, until I opened my next spin fibre; some black welsh sheep that has similar fluffy/scratchy texture. So I’m going to spin that up using my new camphor laurel support spindle so it can be plied with the scandi wool.
I’m currently thinking of ending up with some solid white, solid black, and candy stripe black/white 4 ply skeins, which can all be used together in a project somehow.

Started up another dimensions kit from my stash. I’m quite enjoying this one as I can finish a bird or 2 in a session which gives an immediate sense of accomplishment.

Yes, I am Australian and I agree that sadly there is so little by way of craft supplies in this country. In my lifetime I have seen the art and craft spaces substantially diminish and the suppliers practically vanish. I often lament that all the good supplies are international.

Glued up the kemono style headbase for my pokesona fusion. Gonna have to do a lot more base work, including building & attaching a helmet head back.

Finally skeined all the yarn I have finished so far. I still have to make more of the ‘Sunburnt Country’ which is destined for a ruffle scarf.

Finished paws for the parasaur premade!
These were so fun to make up. As you can hear, they have some hard plastic in the hooves so you can generate a gentle clacking sound.
The whole premade will be formally looking for a loving home soon! Stay tuned for that $ales post!
