I’m doing TDF (Tour de Fleece) this year. My goals are tiny; simply finishing off singles for project spins with anything else, being that plying/additional spins, being an added bonus.
Whilst holidaying in the hinterland last week, I completed one of my goals of finishing off the last single for my Easter Show competition yarn, an extremely soft alpaca blend. Please enjoy my spinning.
A frustrating pictorial tale of figuring out double knitting twisted rib stitch. Because I decided the stranded colourwork fossil cowl needed to be completely reversible & highly plush…
Some progress on the quilted craft bags. The shramp one is so delightful I now want to make more.
After a lot of time consuming and brain taxing projects I needed something simple to do. I love how diamond paints come alive as you add the sparkly beads.
Completed American songbirds cross stitch kit. This is a dimensions standard collection kit & it took approximately 130 hours to complete.
Base airbrushing is completed. Next step is to handbrush in some select dark details, perhaps hit some specific highlights with the airbrush, and put in the felt liner.
All but 3 of my regular working spindles are full, & I don’t have any more storage space to keep going. So every one now has to be pulled off & processed into skeins.
I always misjudge how long detailing actually takes, my brain thinks it doesn’t take long because it’s just lines but in reality it can take days. This represents about 3 days of work.
Decided to make myself up some little project bags. This’ll be the first time I’ve used foam stabiliser wadding, which is exciting.
