  • This is the second shot at doing a dtd. The first one wasn’t done as well and warped/stretched when I had to be cut out quickly due to overheating, so it was shit trying to pull a pattern from it. This one is much better (although I am disturbed at how much my legs hyperflex!).…

  • More work on the feetsies! I carved out the toe shapes using the dremel and sanded smooth, before using my gas stove to heat seal the foam again. Claws were made from apoxie sculpt, sanded, and glued into the toes. Hot glue is along the toe bottoms as an extra safeguard against toe tears, and…

  • I’m making up a prickly shirt for my fiancé. I am very pleased with how the pocket and enclosed seams all turned out. I am displeased by the collar as I had to basically make it up as I went since the pattern was poorly explained and I swear missing steps. There is visible stitching…

  • Sculpting all the vanes on the tail feathers. This really hurts the fingers!

  • Forgot to take progress photos of this project. I needed something for the top of my upright piano, so I decided to create a quilted runner with sashiko panels. Fabrics are a mix of standard quilting patterned fabrics and traditional woven japanese fabrics. Top stitching was done following the borders of all the rectangle blocks.…

  • Started work on the birdie feetsies. I spent hours (of frustrated) experimenting to get to this point as #rah-bop ‘s tutorial pattern didn’t really work with my BigW shoes for this project. Eventually figured out I needed to squish the shoe fabric top down to get an accurate pattern outline for the foam to sit…

  • Finished stitching up an orange slice. Pattern from #StitchYourDream on etsy. I want to adjust the colours for a blood orange and frame as a pair for my kitchen.

  • I’m only doing a partial fursuit so I made a dtd with shorter arms and legs. Then taped it up to pull a pattern. Many things wrong with this including being too tight/small and the side zipper placement is wrong. More work to do!

  • Made up the pattern and cut the foam feathers for the tail, shapes based on a raven’s tail. I also carved the pygostyle nub which the feathers will be inset into and the nub will be covered in fur. Next up is sculpting the feathers!

  • Made some donut fabric weights for my future SIL, then decided to make myself a large set too.
