  • Last thing to be made before the wedding! My partners’ pocket square and feather boutounairre. The boutounairre has 2 different kinds of duck and pheasant feathers, plus a little one of unknown origins at the front to match my feather earwing (the lady who made my jewellery kindly sent me some spare feathers for this…

  • Started work on my dinosaur bones shirt. The dark colours don’t do my stitching justice in photos! Attached the pocket, shoulders & front facing all with layered flat seams, and prepared the collar for attachment. Plus, I’m never using iron-on interfacing again!

  • MOVEMENT TEST! I literally have no choice but to walk on the ball of my foot and lift the whole foot to take a step. You can see by my little run that although you can roll your foot slightly you have to use a lot of leg muscles for power and to provide some…

The main toes are hot glued onto the shoes; you need to glue down each toe seperately starting with the middle toe so that everything is even and conforms to the shape of the shoe. The hallaces I threaded 3 bits of craft wire through all layers of foam/glue/fabric strips (using a…

  • Sealed the feet in plastidip before painting with a mid gray base layer and a black top layer, wiping off excess paint as I went to get that mottled skin look. I’m sealing the paintwork using some flexible clear gloss art spray which’s going to take a week to dry between layer.

  • It was extremely frustrating attaching the collar and sleeves, but youtube was my friend. Also, I feel that my flat seams need admiration because they are just perfect! Now I’m just waiting on buttons to arrive.

  • I started work on the leggings using the same pattern as before by using the french seam method this time around.

  • More work on the feetsies. Skin details are done using puffy paint; this is glow in the dark which dries clear as you can see from the sections I did first. The bottle says dries in 24 hours, but some of these blobs are super thick and I’m guessing will need at least a week…
